BUCCANEER BRAVOS
- TAKE A BOW, Inventure Prize Participants! Christopher Corrao, Jesse Niederjohn, Michael Muldoon, Shannon Gallagher, James Caldwell, and Lea Funderburke shared their projects at Georgia Tech on March 14th! The Lightning Shock Sticker Team came in THIRD!!!
- HATS OFF to our New to Mt. Bethel Staff! We had a lovely lunch at Camp's on Friday and reflected on "mountains and valleys" from the year. A consistent "mountain" or positive reflected throughout our conversation was supportive and inclusive teams who make the workplace enjoyable. Thank you to ALL TEAMS for synergizing, for looking out for one another, and for taking care of one another. YOU ROCK!
- WAY TO GO, ALL! You endured Picture Daze! A special shout out to Cherie for working, reworking and reworking the schedule! An additional shout out to Sam who had to mastermind a PE location when the gym and cafe' were full!
- THANKS FOR BEING A LIFE SAVER to our staff who attended STB (Stop the Bleed) training on Tuesday afternoon at Walton. They learned how to correctly apply tourniquets in the event of a health disaster or limb dismemberment.
OG CONTINUING EDUCATION
Our Foundation has graciously funded training to help coach each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade teacher in OG Methodology through the end of the year.

In addition, Lisa will meet for a full day on April 23 and May 3rd with 4th & 5th grades.
On May 18, Kindergarten through third grade teachers will meet sequentially - roving subs will be coming to classrooms - and you will determine OG stopping points for this year that will dictate stopping points for next year.

This structure is simple and many of you are already using it, but the tips will help you truly "up your stuff." We hope to share Kagan strategies on a weekly basis with you.
THIRD QUARTER REPORT CARDS
- Specialist Grades due in Synergy on March 16.
- Primary Report Card grades due in Synergy Monday, March 19th by 11:59 pm. If they are complete sooner, email Cherie and let her know.
- Primary Report Cards printed by Cherie in office on March 20th and placed in your mailboxes by end of day.
- Intermediate Report Card grades due in Synergy March 20th
- Intermediate Grade Teachers - Print your own report cards. Paper in front office if you needed.
- Report Card Distribution on Wednesday, March 21st.
RTI-2 - MARCH 20TH
Kindergarten Gifted Screening
- Danner has emailed list of students who will be screened based on RI/MI Scores.
- For any student who is reading at a Level G or higher and was NOT on the screening list, administer a DRA. Get the list of students not on RI/MI list BUT who are reading at G+ to Danner on or before 3/28.
- K Teachers - if you get questions from parents, copy/paste the following statement:
Thank you for reaching out regarding gifted eligibility in Kindergarten. I have forwarded your communication to our Target teachers. You will receive a response from our Target team.
Milestones TIMELINE & IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This year's testing schedule has presented some significant challengs - that we will all work through together. Know that testing season is a time for all hands on deck. Mentally prepare yourself for the possibility that schedules will be off, all support personnel will be needed, and we will all follow testing procedures and be flexible that week!
TIMELINE OF KNOWN EVENTS:
March 27 - Testing Training @ 2:30pm in Learning Commons for Certified Staff
March 28 - Testing Training @ 8:00 am for in Learning Commmons Classified Staff
During the Week of March 26 - Likely to work through labeling, service coding, material preparation during planning.
April 10 - Testing Begins
April 19 or 20 - Tests returned to Warehouse

Get Excited! Here's What's On the Horizon:
- In June, our email will migrate. This will give teachers virtually unlimited email storage capacity! Adios, it was stuck in my outbox!
- Cool new tools in Office 365 that will enhance collaboration - primarily two tools: Planner and Teams!
- An incredible Library of Resources within CTLS-Teach is being populated with millions of items (lessons, PowerPoints, videos, etc.) that will save you time & effort while planning. 3rd grade got a sneak peek this week. Access for all will roll out next year.
Job fair
The best place to start this journey is by planning to attend the Job Fair. It is a great place to share your resume, to get in front of the admin team, and to connect. Some principals will be hiring on the spot.
Elementary will be on March 27th @ Wheeler
Middle & High will be on March 29th @ Kennesaw Mountain High School
Transfers may attend early from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Bring your badge and register online through TalentEd. *This includes paras seeking a promotion or supply teachers looking for a full-time teaching position.
