What is this all about?

As part of our library's effort to provide innovative programs, we will be joining a grassroots movement nationwide to provide students the opportunity to learn to code at school. What is innovative about our approach is that this program will blend STEM principles such as coding with literacy. We want students to read. We also want them to learn STEM. This program will do both. Students will read with a purpose by accessing our eBook series on coding.

“The 'Hour of Code™' is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week [] and [] to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming
