Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Murphy- C112

Welcome to the new school year and your last year of middle school! My name is Lindsay Murphy and I am the Language Arts teacher on Team 9. This will be my 11th year teaching Language Arts in USD 475. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English from KSU, and my Master’s Degree from KSU in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading/Language Arts. Teaching middle school students (especially 8th graders) is a huge passion of mine, and I am always looking for ways to make learning more exciting and relevant to the lives of my students.

I was born and raised in Junction City, and am a graduate of both JCMS and JCHS. I feel so honored to be a teacher in the school district that gave so much to me. My husband, Dustin, is also from Junction City and is a Lieutenant at the Junction City Police Department. We have a five year old boy named Max, and an almost two year old little girl named Aubrey. They definitely keep us busy, and we look forward to our kids attending USD 475 schools in the near future.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the course of the school year. I will be in touch frequently, but please e-mail or call if you have specific concerns. Here’s to a great school year!

Mr. Trenary- C113 History

Welcome back!

This will be my 11th year at Junction City Middle School. I am a graduate of Kansas State University where I received both my undergraduate degree in Education and a Master's in Educational Leadership.

My wife, Trisha, works at Kansas State in the School of Leadership Studies and we have 3 sons: Charlie, Leo, and Max. I am joining Team 9 this year after previously teaching 6th grade on Team 1 the last two years.

I am excited to be teaching my passion, United States History this year!

Mrs. Williams- C111

Hello, Team 9 Families!

I am a military spouse, and we have lived in quite a few states over my husband's 19 year career. I am originally from the South, but as a K-State graduate I consider myself an honorary Kansan. (EMAW, y'all!) My husband, Ryan, and I have 3 children. Chloe is our 8th grader, Owen is starting his senior year, and Ian is in college.

I LOVE teaching 8th grade Math, because it was a struggle for me. Once I figured it out, I fell in love with the beauty of Mathematics. Now, my favorite thing is helping students improve their growth mindsets and their math and problem solving skills.

I am so excited that you are going to be on the BEST team in the building! I am always just an email or phone call away. Please feel free to reach out with comments or concerns.

Miss Temaat- C114- Science
