Principal's Message
We are up and running! The first few days can always be a whirlwind. Emotions run high, good and happy ones, and scared ones as well. I want to commend all parents for the positive encouragement you have all shared with your children, as I see tons of happy smiles and good, positive, outlooks on coming back to school. A shoutout to our teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, lunch aides, and administrative assistants for the incredibly smooth and efficient start to the new year. It is always important to start off on the right foot. We have streamlined some of our procedures here that have been making some things easier to do and communicate. This allows us to focus our energy where it matters most, educating! Please take a look at this newsletter carefully. We have several events, and other information that is pertinent to you.

My School Menus will provide parents with the meal of the day, nutritional, and allergen information. PaySchools Central enables parents to fund lunch accounts online quickly and easily eliminating the worry of lost or forgotten lunch money. Parents can also conveniently apply for Free/Reduced benefits online.
As of the publishing of this newsletter, the federal government has not renewed the "National School Lunch Program" which offered free lunch to all students regardless of income. Research ⚗️
Anxiety about school is always a possibility, especially around strong transition period, such as the beginning of school, the return from holidays, a new school year, or a new school building/district. Managing anxiety can take many forms, but self-regulation, and a meta-cognitive understanding of anxiety triggers, and anxiety escalation can be helpful in ensuring that anxiety does not get out of control. All of us deal with anxieties, but as adults, we have a better understanding of how to self-regulate. Helping our young ones identify anxiety, build strategies to manage it, building positive feedback, and work on self-regulation is key to managing these feelings. Click the picture to learn more.

Teacher Highlight👨🏫👩🏫
Meet Ms. Panuska 😀
Ms. Panuska has been teaching for 23 years! Her favorite part about teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade is how innocent and adorable they are, their ideas, thought processes, explanation of the world around them, and their giggles. As a child, her favorite superhero was Wonder Woman. Her hidden talent is gift wrapping and bulletin boards. She wants her students to know how much she loves them and how much she cares about their learning!
