CUBS Connection
Lincoln School Counselor Notes
Welcome!
I am so excited for the 2013-14 school year! This year's kindergarten class is the class of 2026! The staff has been working hard to get to know your kids this year. Our students will be working through the common core curriculum, incorporating technology, learning how to learn, and learning about working with others.
As your school counselor I am here to help with all the "newness" of elementary school. I expect students (and their parents) to have times of celebration...and frustration too. Let me know how I can help you.

Bus Safety
On Tuesday, August 20th Mike Urban, director of transportation, and I worked with all of the students in K-3 throughout the day on bus safety. The students learned about appropriate behavior on the bus as well as what to do in case of an emergency. Here are some tips:
- Always walk to and from the bus.
- Respect others while waiting at the bus stops.
- When on the bus use quiet partner voices to talk.
- Always stay seated facing forward while on the bus.
- Keep everything inside the bus at all times.
- Keep the aisles clear.
- Report any problems to the bus driver to to an adult at school.
- Never run out in front of the bus to chase things (papers that flew away).
