Attendance reporting: Absence, Late Arrival & Early Check Out
ALL absences, late arrivals and early checkouts MUST be reported to cveattendance@isd194.org or (952) 232-3207 (attendance line). Absences NOT reported to cveattendance@isd194.org will be recorded as UNEXCUSED. Please forward all attendance-related communication to cveattendance@isd194.org and email( copy (cc) your student's classroom teacher.
For early dismissals due to appointments or other reasons, the office will call the classroom or specialist when the student's adult has arrived. It often takes extended time between arriving and leaving the building; families should plan accordingly. NOTE: We are unable to check students out from 3:30 - 3:50 due to end of day.
Important attendance reminders for the 2023-24 school year
We are excited to have students back in our classrooms for the 2023-24 school year!
Since we are now a couple weeks into the new school year, we want to take the time to remind parents/guardians of the importance of school attendance, how you will be notified about your student’s attendance, and how to report your student’s absence.
Attendance matters. Being in school, on time, every day is critical for your student’s success in school. With just two missed days each month, students can easily fall behind and have less academic success over the course of the school year and their academic career. Absences can also impact entire classrooms if teachers have to slow down learning to help students catch up.
It is recommended that students miss no more than nine days of school each year to stay engaged, successful and on track to graduation. Families can help their students succeed at all grade levels by building the habit of good attendance early in elementary school and paying attention to their attendance in middle and high school to keep them on track.
Please visit isd194.org/attendance-matters to learn more about student attendance notifications and how to report your student’s absence.
Thank you for your support in ensuring your student is in school, on time, every day. Have a great school year!
Individual Student (MCA) Results
Individual Student (MCA) Results (ISR) will be sent home on September 20.
New this year on the ISR is a QR code that links the parents to an individual video. These videos include an overview of the assessment and the student’s performance in each subject taken, as well as their performance related to the school, district, and state averages. In addition to English, video ISRs may be available in a home language based on student enrollment data, if specified (Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, Hmong, Karen, Oromo, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese).
Parents/guardians can access video ISRs by scanning a QR code on the ISR with a smart device. Students without a score in at least one subject have no QR code on their ISR and no video report available.
