New Items to Be Aware of:
- If a student has a white ticket and is in your class during flex time, they need to stay in your class the entire time, unless they have completed everything for you and you talk to another teacher for whom the student also need work on something. At this point the student can go to another classroom.
- The only time a student should have their white ticket signed to go to an activity during flex time is if you made a mistake and did not get a chance to change the D, F, or I prior to the printing of tickets.
Old Items to Be Aware of:
- The baseline data of the Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) was due and needed to be submitted by October 1st. Click here for expectations and examples. If you have not submitted it by October 1st, your JPAS evaluator will check with you this week to see how he can help.
- Click here for information about the Idaho Master Teacher Premium if you are interested in working toward that. Since our district will be following the state model, nothing is actually done through the school or district.
- JPAS observations can begin anytime this week starting on Thursday, September 28. Your assigned administrator will let you know when your six-week window of opportunity will begin. Please use the following links to assist in your preparation: JPAS Annual Orientation, Color Coded Domains IV and V, Professional Development Materials by Indicator (JPAS). In addition, anyone who appears on this spreadsheet must complete Domains IV and V (the portfolio/interview portion).
- If you need extra laptops due to classes over 30, students can check them out in the Media Center from Michelle Miller.

Professional Development
Grants and Other Opportunities
- Go to CapEdFoundation.org for instructions on how to apply for a Teacher Grant. The deadlines are the 1st of each month from September until March.
- The Bonneville Education Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the 2017 Teacher Mini-Grant cycle! This year we are pleased to open the cycle sooner and close the awarding process sooner, as well. This provides teachers with the money and resources they need to be able to implement their plans. In addition, if other funding sources are better suited to your needs, the foundation will give you the time you need to redirect your efforts toward a different grant cycle, like the INL STEM grant.
