A Word from Mrs. Eichman
Is this really happening?
Yes, school has made its way back into our lives. Gone are the late nights, the ‘carefree’ living of not being confined to a schedule, and the seemingly extra sleep. With transitions come problems to work through, relationships to build upon, and the need to control situations. All transitions take time, communication, and prayer. The Lord allows situations and concerns to be in our lives to form us into His image and bring Him glory. I’m thinking now of Jonah who had a choice in a transition, who decided to take matters into his hands, but in the end a whole city was saved. And Ruth, who could have taken the easy road (stayed in her home land), but chose instead to follow Naomi and from her decision, the grandfather of David. Not to leave Paul out, who was in the transition of being a free man to being in jail, who was led to write letters during his jail time that we now read today to encourage us. Each transition has stress, but God wants us to allow Him to work and bring about His glory. (Romans 12:8)
What are your struggles in the transitions from summer to school? Could it be the amount of school work? The level of expectations? Learning how to read and interpret the communication sheets? Building physical strength to carry all the books? Stepping out of your comfort zone to ask questions? Whatever your struggle, the Lord wants you to lean on Him as His Word says, “Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you.” Psalm 55:22 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God.” Phil 4:6
Cast your cares, pray for resolution, and communicate. Should you have school concerns that are not getting resolved with time, please connect with faculty to start the communication process to ease with the transitions. (If you are a new HA family and have an Ambassador family, you can use them as a resource.) We have an amazing Heritage community and we are here for one another. My earnest prayer is that the Lord guide you and help you transition from summer to school with much grace and peace. Please let me know how I can minister to your family. May HE give you all that you need.
