On the national level, IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education and part of efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
**All IEW events are free, many events include free food, and the first 30 students who attend 5 or more events will win a free T-shirt!**
A full list of events can be found on the OIED website, but in this message I would like to highlight a few of them. Please share with your faculty and students and encourage them to attend.

Follow-Up from Global Connections Certificate from Dr. Hellenbrand
Below are a few links to pass on to students who are interested in adding the certificate.
If I could give one more piece of advice? Students should add the certificate right now if they are interested. It is not a major or a minor, so it won't affect graduation if they cannot meet requirements in the end -- they can drop it at any time. However, if we don't know who is in the certificate, we can't advise them!! So sign up early!
My contact info for any questions is: hellenbranda@appstate.edu

Education has a paper form found at: https://rcoe.appstate.edu/sites/rcoe.appstate.edu/files/request_for_change_in_status_of_major.pdf
Music & Business require advising before changing a major/minor so their forms aren't online. The student would have to go to that office to get a form to complete.
