Mrs. Loppnow's News & Notes
Week of March 12, 2018
A Note from Mrs. Loppnow:
Hello Parents!
THEY DID IT!!!!!!! The kids completed their animal projects! We can't wait to share them on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 in our classroom. I really hope you can stop by to see the work they completed. This project was a lot of hard work with special focus on science topics, reading, writing, and publishing. It is so exciting to see it all come together.
It is hard to believe we only have one more week before Spring Break. Our time is really flying by! Please let me know ASAP if your family plans to take additional days off of school before or after Spring Break. I appreciate it!
Enjoy your weekend!

Writer's Workshop: I wish I would have taken a picture of the "TO DO" list we completed this week...you would seriously be impressed! We can't wait to share all of our work with you on Tuesday!
Content: See above! ^^^^
Reader's Workshop: This week we began to look at "paired texts". Paired texts are two passages about the same topic but written by different authors. Oftentimes, we will pair a fiction text with a non-fiction text which is how we started with a look at Daylight Savings Time. We will complete the comparisons next week and will continue this work after spring break as well.
