Santiago Charter Newsletter
Friday, January 21, 2022
We are off and running in 2022! This newsletter is a great way for you to check in with us every Friday to see what is going on.
- As we return to school, please don't forget that masks are required for all students while on campus. Please make sure you remind your student that masks need to cover the nose and mouth at all times throughout the school day.
- Also, please feel confident that our staff will be working vigilantly to adhere to the guidelines for keeping students safe throughout the school day. We are doing our best to sanitize and protect everyone,
- If your students is not feeling well, or if your student has come in contact with anyone that has recently tested positive for Covid-19, please keep them home. Teachers are prepared for absences; they have been asked to post student work online so that students will not fall behind in class if they miss school. We know this is a huge inconvenience for families, so thank you in advance for helping our campus stay healthy!
- Students that are required to quarantine for longer than 5 days at home will be put onto a short-term independent study program. If your student is required to stay home, you will receive communication from the school about how this will look.
- Please take a look at the calendar items at the bottom of this newsletter for updates about school wide events over the next 2 weeks. There are many exciting things happening!
- We have so many clubs meeting each day during lunch! Please remind students to check the Atrium Showcase Board outside the library to see when they should attend the meetings for the clubs they have joined!
- Please note that students are expected to follow the dress codes and keep phones at home. Violations of these expectations will result in consequences. Please see guidelines here if you are still unsure.
- When picking up students during the school day, please remember to bring your ID with you. Office staff must check ID with our records before students will be released.
