Season of Service

January 16th - April 23rd 2016

We are "in-season"!

I am excited to announce that we are officially "in" this year's Season of Service, which will run from January 16th - April 23rd 2016. This season will mark an increase in churches all across the Greater Sacramento region serving the needs of their communities by serving local schools. Season of Service 2016 officially kicked off in conjunction with the MLK Celebration Service at Capital Christian on January 17th. The Serve United team was able to worship with an incredible choir, share the vision of Season of Service and Every School Partnership, and invite people to sign up for this year's Season! The following day, we shared the vision of Every School Partnership at the MLK Diversity Expo at the Sacramento Convention Center. We are so excited to see what God does through this Season of Service and we hope your church is too! Is your church on board to serve this season? If so, please have a church representative sign up for Season of Service/Every School Partnership using the link below:

2015 Shoe Drive "Share A Sole" Recap

Stories of Service: Share-A-Sole

The following Story of Service has been provided by Sun Grove Church in Elk Grove:

In 2004, Sun Grove Church began donating fitting new shoes to benefit students in need in Elk Grove Unified School District. During the following 10 years, 5,500 students received a pair of new shoes. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary, in 2015 Sun Grove took a huge step in faith and launched a new campaign called "Share-a-Sole: New Shoes for Students in Need" and set a goal of 2,000 new pairs of shoes. This was a 40% increase from 2014. It is with great humility and joy that over 2,200 pairs of shoes shoes were donated and all 1900 students requesting new shoes in 14 schools received them. This was only possible through God's blessing and partnership with Elk Grove Unified School District and their families, Elk Grove and South Sacramento Starbucks, Walmart, Elk Grove Libraries, fire department and volunteers in police service, First Baptist Church, Journey Church, Living Water Church and Sun Grove Church.

Thank you to every individual who has given and served to make Share-a-Sole 2015 such a success and for blessing so many students and their families!

Upcoming Service Event: Hoops to Hope

E49 Corp is excited to partner with the Sacramento Kings, Kings Chaplaincy program, and churches in the Sacramento area to unite around the Hoops To Hope Campaign. The Hoops To Hope Campaign is a chance for the God’s people (the church) to attend three Sacramento Kings games focused on Education, Homelessness, and Human Trafficking. 20% of the proceeds from these games goes to support the unified, collaborative Housing & Hope effort.
