Meet our Administrative Team
Eisenhower families,
It is my pleasure to be Eisenhower's Principal and to get to work with the fabulous students, staff, parents, and Ike community members. This is my second year working for the Crown Point Community Schools, and my 12th year in education. Prior to coming to Eisenhower, I was a principal and assistant principal for the Valparaiso Community Schools. Previous to my administrative roles, I taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Title 1 remediation. I have a Master's Degree in Supervision and Administration from Indiana State University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University.
I believe that students need to feel safe and respected in order to learn. It is my goal, as the school principal, to create a safe and effective learning environment where students are engaged and excited learners as they become college and career ready. Positive relationships between all school stakeholders is essential in maximizing student success. Please feel free to contact me to ask questions and share ideas.
I look forward to partnering with you!
Calli Dado
Eisenhower families,
I am honored to join the Eisenhower community as the new Assistant Principal. I will be sharing my time between Eisenhower and Solon Robinson. I have enjoyed meeting students, parents, and staff over the last several weeks. While this is my first year at Eisenhower, it is my 17th year working for the Crown Point Community School Corporation. I have experience teaching students in all grades from kindergarten to fifth grade. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and Administration through Indiana Wesleyan University, and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Manchester College.
I believe it is the job of school administrators to create a safe, supportive, student-centered learning environment as well as preserve and enhance a positive climate within the school community. I am excited to serve the educational, social, and emotional needs of students and families at Eisenhower. I am looking forward to getting to know you and building relationships as we work together to help your children learn and grow. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance to your family in any way.
Yours in learning,
Melanie Pociask

COVID-19 Information
Please make note of the following updated policies:
- Masks are required at all CPCSC K-12 buildings during the school day and on our buses. Masks will be optional after our regular student day.
- Please screen daily for COVID symptoms. Anyone who is sick (student or staff) must stay home.
- Any student or employee who tests positive for COVID-19 must complete their quarantine and may not return to school until symptom-free.
- We will continue to identify close contacts. Quarantines are not required in classrooms where masks were worn, unless a close contact develops symptoms. This is for both vaccinated and unvaccinated close contacts.
Counselor Corner
Have you ever wondered what a school counselor does on a typical day?
A school counselor...
- Works with ALL students to promote a safe and successful learning environment
- Delivers classroom lessons
- Facilitates small group discussions
- Meets with students individually to conduct brief, solution-focused counseling
- Collaborates with teachers, parents, guardians, mental health counselors, and other support staff
- Maintains confidentiality unless a safety concern needs to be shared and addressed
- Provides education and information regarding student needs
A school counselor does not...
- Assign grades
- Facilitate therapy groups
- Meet with students individually to provide long-term, mental health counseling or therapy
- Handle discipline or assign consequences
- Share information without the need to know or a noted safety concern
- Tell teachers how to teach in their classroom or parents how to parent their children
Check us out online! On the Eisenhower webpage, hit the menu (on the right of the screen) and click “guidance”.
