The Legacy Times
Volume 14 - September 2018
Director's Spotlight: Shanna Grubb
Dear Legacy Line Families,
Our year is off to such a wonderful start! This team has impressed me already with their drive and determination. They all did such an outstanding job last week at the pep rally and at the football game. I know the girls love it when the crowd gets loud at the pep rallies and boy did they love their blackout routine. Now, if we can take that same energy and cheer the girls on at the football game, I know they will love it and it would really make them feel great. So please come out and support them this Thursday night with lots of excitement! Let's be their biggest fans and really help them feel the love while they perform with our applause and cheering.
I wanted to take a moment to tell you about something new we are doing this year. At the game, each girl is getting a Sprite and a snack. Each week, a squad will be providing a portion of the snacks. Please look on the calendar to see which week your daughter's squad has been assigned the snacks and she can reach out to her dance officer to find out what she needs to bring.
Also if you can at the next game, during third quarter, I would love it if you could come by and meet our amazing new assistant director if you haven't already yet and swing by and say hi to me as well. There are so many new faces we would love to match up each parent with their daughter and get to know you all a little better.
Right now the Legacy Line is pulling together to "Rise Up to Hunger" and we are doing a drive for items for the Frisco Family Food Services. I can't think of a better way to leave a legacy than for us to serve families in need in our area. Of course, we are going to make this a squad challenge to make it a little more fun. All donations need to be in by Monday Sept. 17th. Let's pull together and accomplish something big. Here is a link to the items they are currently accepting. http://friscofamilyservices.org/what_you_can_do/ffsfoodpantry/foodpantry.html
Lastly, each year we like to have the girls bring in supplies for the year to help them on game days and throughout the year. As a family please consider signing up on this Signup Genius https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4ea8a72aaaff2-needed to bring something in for girls to make each day and week a little easier for them. Thank you again for all your support and everything you do for your daughter and the Legacy Line.
