WHS Winter MAP Testing Schedule
Map Testing starts next week!
Below are some reminders from Morgan Dowell about setting up testing:
The links below will walk you through the steps for creating and administering the test. There are also some great troubleshooting ideas for the day of the test. I would be happy to meet with you if you have any questions!

Google Apps for Education (GAFE) Activities
Now that computer routines are established I thought I would share some great projects that you can do inside the classroom or during your computer lab. All of these activities use Google Apps for Education and will familiarize them with the tools within the Google programs. If you have any questions or see a project you would like to try, I would be happy to meet and help co-teach!
#GAFE4littles intro activities: This slideshow geared towards primary grades highlights activities in google draw, sheets, slides, and docs.
Alice Keeler’s Google App Templates: I love all these ideas!
Social Emotional Learning Lesson Input Request
During our recent "State of the District" presentation, you heard Clodagh explain that the SEL Steering Committee is exploring the RULER curriculum for SEL. CLICK HERE for a brief summary I found online. No decision has yet been made on this. What is certain, is that nothing will happen with that this year.
During the first trimester our WHS focus was on bullying. For the remainder of the year, we will focus on the 5 SEL competencies.
Last year, you may recall that we held these lessons on Early Release Days. That can once again be an option for this year. Use the survey below to express your preference.

WHS Staff Spotlight:
This is Lisa Flaishaker's 14th year at WHS. She yoga, reading, and watching a great show (series)
Some of Lisa's favorites include:
Song- "Play it Again" by Luke Bryan
Food- pizza or a good filet
Lisa Flaishaker is inspired by her husband's grandmother. She lived to be 92. She was the most giving, accepting and bold person I have ever known. She accepted everyone with open arms and always "said it how it was..."
Finally, Lisa believes, "Everyone deserves a chance to show what special talents they have inside. Everyone can learn to accept each other."
