Dear Second Grade Parents,
We had a busy week filled with celebrations! On Tuesday, we invited the Third Grade class to listen to our students read aloud their Arctic animal research reports. Afterwards we celebrated with cheese and crackers, grapes, and Tim Tams from Australia (a favorite treat of both Second Grade teachers)!
As we bid adieu to the Pacific Northwest, we held our own "potlatch" of sorts by reading our "5 Ws poems" (who, what, when, where, why) about life in the region. We also feasted on smoked sockeye salmon, salmon flavored cream cheese, and berries. We our off to the Southwest next week!
Please have your kids well rested for Monday, as we begin our week of Stanford testing.
Have a great weekend,
Emilia and Rachel
