Colts,
SPRING BREAK! What a great time for our Colts to unplug from the daily routine of school life and enjoy some time off. When our activities pick right back up in full swing after the break, we know our Colts will finish the last grading period strong. As fast as spring break reached us, the end of the school year will be here before we know it. Enjoy the moments! Have a great break!

Congratulations all of our participants and to:
Neha Veera and Jillian Davis - 3rd Place, Group Documentary
Amie Ha, Gage Wallace, Aidan Montgomery - 1st Place, Group DocumentaryCMS Choir
Our groups that participated in the UIL Choir contest represented CMS with pride and gave outstanding performances in both Concert and Sight-reading. UIL (University of Interscholastic) is a state level singing evaluation that all schools participate in. Groups perform 3 songs in Concert and then go into Sight-reading (where they must read a brand new piece of music with only the use of hand-signs). The judges rank choirs on a 1-5 scale. 1 – Superior, 2- Excellent, 3- Average, 4 – Below Average and 5 – Poor.
Our Select Women sang in the Non-Varsity treble category and earned a 2 – Excellent in Concert and a 3- Average in Sight-Reading.
Our Advanced Men sang in the Non-Varsity tenor-bass category and earned a 1 – Superior in Concert and a 1 – Superior in Sight-Reading. This earned them a Sweepstakes trophy!
Our Advanced Women sang in the Varsity treble category and also earned a 1 – Superior in Concert and a 1 – Superior in Sight-Reading. Earning them a Sweepstakes trophy!
These students have poured so much time and energy into preparing for this contest, and Mr. Lotspeich and Colt Country are deeply proud of their accomplishments.
Thank you for supporting CMS Choir!
