Mrs. Hladun's Tidings
On Tuesday, 10/15, we are hosting the School Board meeting at LCES. All families are encouraged to join us as we highlight a couple of programs at our school. Our amazing Choir will perform, and we'll be showcasing our AVID program! The meeting will begin at 7 pm and our portion of the program should be wrapped up by 7:25 pm at the latest! Join us in the MPR!
Last week, we hosted our second "Happy Families" session, which focused on the work and thinking of the "Let Grow" movement - how we can work to let go of the fear of the unknown and of judgement in order to give our children space to grow - to become 'flexible, creative, problem solvers" instead of us adults always being there to organize their time and solve problems for them. You can learn more about this idea here. I know the ideas presented really got me thinking, and I believe that was the case for the families that participated in the discussions, too. What do you think?
You can see what is coming up next in our "Happy Families" series here and you can read descriptions of each presentation here.
PTC Boo Bash coming on Saturday, 10/26!

Boundary Study/2020-2021 Registration Update
NEW INFORMATION: Please know that REGISTRATION will be running from mid December to early January this year (including TK registration, K registration and returning student commitments). In addition, the district will be accepting and processing INTRADISTRICT requests in January/early February, too. Please let your friends and neighbors know so they aren't caught by surprise, and they have access to any/all options!
There will also be discussion and decisions this winter about extended day kindergarten options at each WPUSD elementary school as well as a decision to come about where the district's new dual immersion program will be housed.
Here is a color version of the various boundary options that are being considered: http://bit.ly/boundarymapoptions
