Mrs. Porrovecchio's First Grade Class
Mrs. Porrovecchio’s first grade class participated in an outreach project with Nourish NJ. With the help of donations from parents, the students decorated and filled 100 Breakfast Bags to help those in need during the holiday season. This was one of fifteen acts of kindness Mrs. Porrovecchio’s class is doing as they countdown to winter break.

Counselor's Corner - Have you heard the buzz on Lunch Bunch?
Lunch bunch is a lunch time group where the students meet with the school counselors. We offer various types of Lunch Bunch sessions, ranging from one-time occurrences to structured weekly groups.
One-time Lunch Bunch is simply a social group where it can be requested by a student, invited by another student, or classroom scheduled by a counselor designed to promote positive social interactions. This is a way for the counselors to integrate with the students outside the classroom and build stronger connections. We target general social skills of listening, being a good friend/classmate, and building stronger social connections in a fun atmosphere during the 20 minutes of lunch. If there is a peer conflict, Lunch Bunch can be a time to resolve the issue.
*It is important to note it is completely voluntary. Any student may decline to participate.
* A parent note goes home indicating if your child participated in a lunch bunch.
Social Skills Group with Parent Permission: A lunch bunch social skills group is a regular gathering of students during their lunch period, where they participate in fun and engaging activities designed to develop social-emotional skills targeting a specific area based on either teacher and/or parent feedback. Parent permission is required to participate in any recurring meetings.
