Congratulations to Aiden Maxwell - Chosen to Represent SCCPSS as a 2023 United States Presidential Scholar Candidate
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. In 1979, the program was extended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional talent in the visual, creative and performing arts. In 2015, the program was again extended to recognize students who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields.

Information on Civil Air Patrol - please let us know if you have questions!
Here is some information about the Civil Air Patrol program, also known as C.A.P, that is available in this area. There are so many programs and opportunities in C.A.P. that I will highlight several in particular that I think fit especially with Jenkins High School and its Engineering pathway program. There are many other parts of C.A.P. also that are great in general that you will see as you explore their webpage.
Main web page:
https://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/
I highly recommend going through each section in the "About" tab that includes: Who We Are, Diversity and Inclusion, Our History, and What We Do. These give a great summary and background on CAP.
