Earth Day Rocks
This Week
For speech this week, we read books about wild animals, and identified a variety of animals that live in the wild (e.g., snake, bears, etc.). We played with stuffed wild animals and placed them in different positions (e.g., under the table, in the cup, in front of the table, etc.). We also completed puzzles that involved matching animals to pictures. For P.E., we pretended to be bunnies by hopping in potato sacks. We also played Duck Duck Goose and Red Light, Green Light.
With our friends from Room 4, we had a car (bike) wash on the playground! We used road signs to direct traffic and took turns washing bikes with soap and collecting money. We also went on a nature walk and looked at birds, roly poly bugs, flowers, spider webs, etc. We rolled a ball to one another and practiced stopping when the music stopped!
