December Newsletter
Dear Boomer Families:
We hope that you all had a restful week spent sharing time with family and reflecting on the many things for which we should be thankful. Parent-Teacher Conferences were a great success. Thank you to everyone that took the time to meet with your child's teachers. It takes all of us working together to help our children reach their potential!
The Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success! Preliminary profits were close to $4500. Orders should arrive soon if you have not already received them.
We know many people are patiently waiting for Spirit Wear. The company has informed us that shipping has taken much longer than normal due to the same labor shortages we are all experiencing. We thank you for your patience and we hope that they will be ready by the time we return from Winter Break.
December is always a whirlwind month. We have a couple of events taking place that we are very excited about! Panda Express will be donating 20% of all sales on December 10th. Wow! Don't forget to show the flyer to receive credit. You will find a link in the section below. We are also hosting a Pop Up Bike Event in collaboration with the Esperanza Bicycle Safety Education Center from the City of Albuquerque. We would love to see all our families learn about bicycle safety and receive a free helmet!
Don't forget, the last day of school before Winter Break is Wednesday, December 22. Students will return for the Spring Semester on Monday, January 10, 2022.
We wish you and your family a Joyous Holiday Season!

HONESTY
This month we’re talking about Honesty! The dictionary defines it as: “fairness and straightforwardness of conduct; adherence to the facts.” The definition we are using in class is:
Honesty: living truthfully in your words and actions and thoughts!
Honesty is a lot more than just telling the truth – it is also about thinking and acting in a way that feels consistent, kind, and sincere. What do we do with honest thoughts that aren’t very nice? How do our actions in Honesty help or hurt our relationships? Over the course of the month, we will talk about people from Emily Bronte to Jackie Robinson who lived out Honesty in their words and actions. We discover new games and techniques to make us more honest competitors and more thoughtful friends. It will be a time of challenging, but rewarding conversations – thanks for being a part of them!
