Our mission is to empower and inspire a community of lifelong learners and leaders!

Big picture child at a time!

Hello Pleasant Valley Families,

This week is a special week for teachers! It is Teacher's Appreciation Week! Our PV teachers are amazing educators and they have demonstrated collaboration, creativity, care, and RESILIENCE throughout this school year and this pandemic to give our learners the best opportunity possible. We thank them and our entire staff for all of the energy they put into their work and the care they share with our learners. Please consider sending an email to your child's teachers to let them know that their work and energy are noticed and appreciated! Or use Twitter to tweet out a compliment and include @PCSDpleasantval and #PCSDProud! Thank you in advance to our PTA for the special snacks and treats that they are providing on Thursday to celebrate this occasion! Click here for ideas you could use thank one of our teachers!

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians that donated to your child's classroom teachers through the Caring for Classrooms program. The funds will go to purchase supplies, books, magazine subscriptions, and resources for their classrooms! Our teachers are in awe of all of the generosity from our families. What a thoughtful Teacher Appreciation Surprise for them! Thank you again!

Please remember that if COVID-19 has impacted your child by either testing positive or being a primary contact to someone who has, you must keep them home and notify our nursing staff of the next steps. It goes without saying that any students exhibiting symptoms should remain home for at least 24 hours until symptom-free. Towards the end of this newsletter is a link to our Health and Safety Plan. Our nursing staff can be reached at 440-843-1531.

As always, I want to thank you for your partnership with Pleasant Valley! We are so appreciative of all of our Pleasant Valley families. Should you ever have any questions, concerns, or just a great idea you would like to share, please send me an email at or call the main office at 440.885.2380.

Very Sincerely,

Mrs. Stephanie Boka
