#BVTogether: Blue Valley Southwest fostering positive school culture
Last week, Blue Valley Southwest's Sip award went to Mr. Foote, speech and drama teacher. The Southwest Sip award is given weekly to staff at Blue Valley Southwest who demonstrate positive school culture and help students succeed.
Like Blue Valley Southwest, schools throughout the district have adopted staff and student awards, mottos and activities that promote positive school culture. This is a great example of being #BVTogether.
Blue Valley Southwest has adopted the phrase "Protect the Pack".
“Protect the pack is about expanding our current culture of taking care of kids to represent a culture that includes all of us,” said Dr. Tyler Alexander, Blue Valley Southwest principal. “Protect the pack is not just adults taking care of kids. It’s about adults taking care of other adults, kids taking care of adults and community taking care of staff and students. It is a network, a community.”
Whether it is Blue Valley Southwest or the other 34 schools throughout the district, our schools strive to build positive school culture. When everyone in the school community works together and uplifts one another- students, staff and families - the school environment helps students succeed.
