10th gr is required to complete 12 shadowing hours this year
10th grade requirements through our Career Exploration Program
You must complete 12 shadowing hours in the field of your choice before May 1 of this year. You will submit your hours and coursework through your Financial Leadership teacher for credit towards graduation.
LPS has set up a few opportunities for you to shadow, keep checking this site for registration. Or, scroll below to find opportunities. More details will be given to you in your 10th grade financial leadership class.
Students may find more success in reaching out to personal contacts (former employers, family, friends, community members) with a statement of interest when looking for an opportunity.
Job search websites can be useful if students have prior work experience and an updated resume.

Students must be registered by Feb. 24 to go on the field trip. 10th graders only will have the opportunity to participate.

Complexity Gaming, formerly stylized as compLexity, is an American esports franchise headquartered in Frisco, Texas. The franchise was founded in 2003 by Jason Lake and is co-owned by Lake, real estate investor John Goff, and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
You will receive credit for attendance for a half day if you are registered and attend.

FULL * Toyota Production System Exercise for 10th Grade
***THIS TRIP IS NOW FULL***
Students must be registered by Feb. 17 to go on the field trip. 10th graders only will have the opportunity to visit the Toyota headquarters in Frisco and participate in their Toyota Production Exercise activity.
You will receive credit for attendance for a half day if you are registered and attend. We will depart LPS at 8:00 am and return by 12:30 PM.
