TLS Weekly News

Encourage one another and build one another up

November 14, 2014

Here it comes!

There is an adage that talks about having the wisdom to "accept the things we cannot change..." and one of those seems to be SNOW! As we pray for serenity through these inherently difficult weather conditions, we also need to assume that a day or two may be coming that would cause us to delay or cancel school.

All families listed as a parent contact in RenWeb can be directly notified by text, email or voice mail when there is a closing. Please take the time to look on ParentsWeb for "Parent Alert" and choose the way you prefer to be contacted.

Closings or delays will also be reported on local TV stations: WNDU, WSBT, FOX28, ABC57 and on their websites.

Since our school families come from a broad geographical area, conditions may be very different in your neighborhood or driving route than for others. Please use your own judgment to delay arrival or decide on attendance and stay safe! We keep school open and on our regular schedule as much as possible, and as long as it is reasonable and safe for our staff to get here. We do not close or delay to align with any other school system; you will see "Trinity Elkhart" listed on the channel's website or TV screen.

Stay safe and serene, and pray for a mild winter!

Reminder: Crew Care is not open in the morning if there is a delay, and is not available if school is cancelled.

As long as it's snowing...

We might as well enjoy it!
