A Special Applause to...
PD on the Fly...
This summer as we selected a new Social Studies Subject Leader, I loved what Matt said. He described a process he will lead to examine ELA and SS curriculum maps to see how we can work smarter together.
I found this article to get you thinking about how you can begin this work now, in every classroom. Susan Barber says in this article, "In order to teach students to read effectively, teachers must be sure that they are not simply suppliers of information on a particular text but also instructors of techniques to build reading skills." Enjoy!

PROBLEM SOLVING COMMITTEE
We had a great follow up to the first meeting with our Problem Solving Committee. I know there are things staff members are struggling with at Greene. The process we use allows us to leverage the 1000's of collective years of experience here towards solutions. We would like to grow this process if there is a concern you have. If you would like to bring it to us, complete THIS form and we will schedule a time to meet! A special thank you to Andy, Carol, Karen, and Andrea for serving on this committee!
VENDOR FAIR 1.0
Please join us for the inaugural Vendor Fair. We have created this to give you access to items that have frequently been requested during PTO Gifting in the past. We will have vendors at Greene with furniture and tech items as well as designers who work for an architect firm that designs new schools. Vendors will be at Greene from 7:20-10:30. We would like to have 5th grade and specials teachers from 7:20-8:00 and 6th grade teachers between 8:25-10:30.
CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE
Teachers, please be sure to turn in your conference schedules to the office. We will need a list of parents who signed up and then a list of those who attended. Thank you!
