IN PREPARATION FOR OUR FEBRUARY 3RD CONCERT, BAND MEMBERS NEED TO PURCHASE CONCERT UNIFORM APPAREL AS FOLLOWS:
MEN: White pleated tuxedo shirt with small winged collar / black dress shoes
WOMEN: closed-toed black dress shoes

GOALS FOR THE WEEK
1. To be as individually prepared for rehearsals as possible
2. Continue rehearsing chamber ensembles outside of class
EVENTS THIS WEEK
1. Disney Room Sign-Up: TOMORROW, 7:15am in Band Hall
- STUDENTS MUST BE CURRENT ($1575 IN ACCOUNT) TO SIGN-UP FOR A ROOM
- BRING YOUR PHOTO ID THAT YOU WILL USE TO BOARD THE PLANE; YOU WILL ENTER INFO FROM THIS ID AT THIS MEETING. YOU MUST USE THIS ID WHEN YOU BOARD THE PLANE.
- Before the meeting, you need to decide who you will room with; there are 4 people to a room
- ALL ROOMMATES MUST BE PRESENT TO SIGN UP
- Any students not present will be assigned a room at the directors' discretion
2. Full Orchestra rehearsal, Tomorrow, 4:30-6:30p
3. Sectionals this week during classes (NO PRIVATE LESSONS)
- SYMPHONIC & WE - Tuesdays Woodwinds / Wednesdays Brass
- WE Percussion - Wednesday Sectionals during 2nd lunch (go to 1st lunch)
- CONCERT 1 & 2 - Wednesdays
4. Plano Band Restaurant Night @ Scotty P's (2929 Custer Rd), Wednesday 4-9p
- be sure to tell them you are with the Plano Band!
5. Incoming 2022-23 Junior Orientation Meeting, Wednesday, 7pm - ZOOM
6. All-Region Band Rehearsal SET-UP, Thursday @ 3:30p
- All Officers required / student helpers
7. All-Region Band Clinic/Concert - Thurs/Fri (Itinerary attached)
- Thursday 6-9pm (WE/WS @ PSHS; SB/CB @ PESH) - transportation NOT provided!
- Friday - meet at PSHS @ 7:40a - transportation provided TO Allen HS*
DUE THIS WEEK
1. Disney Trip T-Shirt Design, DUE TODAY
- email front/back design image(s) to jason.lewis@pisd.edu
2. Instrument Inspection & Classroom Materials, DUE TODAY
- ALL WINDS: Tuner, (2) pencils, binder, rhythm sheets, extended slurs
- BRASS: valve oil, slide grease, slide cream/water bottle (trombones)
- WOODWINDS: cork grease, (3) good reeds
- PERCUSSION: sticks/mallets, (2) pencils, binder, rhythm sheets, extended slurs
3. Solo & Ensemble Entries & Payment - NOW DUE!!!!!!!
- REGISTER FOR SOLO & ENSEMBLE HERE
- deadline to sign-up: Jan. 27
- Each band member will be assigned to a chamber ensemble. WE, SYM, students are required to perform assigned ensembles at UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest on Feb. 26. CON 1 & 2 students are required to perform assigned ensembles for either UIL Contest on Feb. 26 or in class the week preceding Feb. 26
- $15 per solo
- $15 per ensemble member
- You will be assigned an accompanist! If you have already arranged an accompanist, please see a director immediately!
4. 4th/Final Trip Payment, $416.67 - DUE TODAY (Balance paid in full - $1,575)
- Students behind on trip payments run the risk of being dropped from trip!!
