News Highlights
Lynda from B&G Farm is retiring. After many years of farming, Lynda has decided to take life a little easier. Seven years ago, Lynda was one of the first farms I worked with. She has definitely contributed to helping grow our co-op! I will miss her immensely but I am very happy for her as she retires from farming and restarts her horse boarding business. This will be the last week she will list her pastured pork on the market.
Fry Farm will have organically grown napa & stonehead cabbages, carrots, green onions, mustard greens, radishes, sunchokes, turnips in addition to their Harvest boxes this week! The Harvest Box is an easy option and will include Kale, Baby Ginger, Mustard, Sunchokes, Hakurei Turnips, Cabbage, Carrots & Radishes.
Group Buy - Grass Fed Cheese We'll be taking order this week for available grass fed cheeses from Jason Weibe Dairy and Kenny's Cheese this weekend. Jason Weibe Dairy is currently out of medium cheddar. Cheese order will arrive for the 12/12 pick up. As with all group buys this is a prepaid, preorder so payment is still expected this week. More details in section below!
Volunteers needed THIS TUESDAY for 3-4 pm & 4 -5pm shift Click Here to sign up Thank you Karen, Veverly, and Chuck for volunteering on Tuesday!! I appreciate you all so much! I can't run the co-op with volunteers so please consider signing up.
Unrefined Sea Salt I have a few extra listed on the market if you missed the group buy.
Crave Pie took a break last week because the pie shop was very busy due to the holiday but they are back on the market this week!
A&A Alta Cucina will be on the market next week! Stock up on delicious pestos, tomato sauces, oils, and balsamic vinegars. Great for gift giving! A&A Alta Cucina will list once every couple of months.
Gibson Farm and Leilani's Garden will be taking a break but will be back on the market soon
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE - No pick up on 12/26 or 1/2 only. These are traditionally slow weeks and I thought it would be a good time to take a break. There are 3 more buying weeks so feel free to stock up over that time period if you need to. Pam has offered to host Nature’s Garden Express produce boxes at her home in Buford those 2 weeks.
Sam will offer a milk drop for anyone who needs raw jersey cow milk those weeks. More details to come.
HoneyBerry Naturals - New! "Our Co-op Soap" - that's what Sherry decided to name it since it's made from several ingredients obtained right here at our own co-op! A nice general use bar of milk soap. Smaller 3 oz bar. Ingredients: Local pastured Lard, Organic Coconut Oil, Water, Local Grass Fed Milk, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Organic Raw Shea Butter, Colloidal Oatmeal, Activated Charcoal, Eucalyptus Essential Oil.
Group Buy: Grass-fed Cheese
This weekend we will be taking orders for grass-fed cheese from Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese and Jason Wiebe Dairy!
Low Temp Pasteurized and Raw Milk Cheeses will be available.
I’ve asked the cheese makers to put “(Raw Milk Cheese)” in the title if it is raw milk cheese aged 60 days according to FDA regulation. All other cheeses are low temp pasteurized.
Raw milk cheese that is listed on the market is safe for human consumption and is aged at least 60 days per FDA regulation.
Prices and available sizes will be on the market website tomorrow for ordering. The pricing will include shipping and taxes/fees.
The cheese will NOT be available for pick up this Tuesday. I expect it to be available for pick up the following Tuesday. All Group Buy orders are exempt from our “No show/Donate” policy

Benefits of Grass-Fed Cheese
- One of the few foods that contains a perfect balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fats, a ratio ideal for your health

- Considerably higher in beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin E than cheese and other dairy from grain-fed sources
- High in the healthy calcium and protein your body needs

PLEASE HELP! Volunteers Needed at pick up!
Please consider volunteering during market pick up. I can’t run the co-op without your help! Shifts are 1 hour long and go by really fast. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow members. The schedule IS UPDATED through the end of 2017
Thank you in advance for your support!
