Hello, William Tennent Families.

It is certainly feeling like Fall here at William Tennent High School as the temperatures drop and we celebrate fall events like Homecoming, PSATs and SATs, Celebration of Bands, Powderpuff, a Fall play, and more. Believe it or not, the end of the first marking period is only a few weeks away on November 2, 2022. Our year is off to a great start, and we are proud of our students and staff for working hard at the tasks of teaching and learning. Each day, we continue to ask our students and ourselves:

What have you done today to make yourself better?

To make life better for someone else?

To make life better at Tennent?

F. Scott Fitzgerald said, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” This is especially true in schools where we get a fresh start every school year! As the leaves change color, we are reminded that change brings beauty. We can be inspired to make changes in ourselves that increase our success. Falling leaves can remind us that this is a great time to let go of poor habits that may be holding us back. Our school counselors work hard to help our students prepare for the school year, as well as for future successes. If your student needs additional support, please do not hesitate to reach out to our teachers and the school counselor to develop a plan together.

Please be sure to check out our daily announcements which are linked to the Tennent webpage, and keep an eye out for eAlerts with more information about events.

As always, thank you for your support for William Tennent High School.

Take care and be well,

Dr. Henrich

Students build and launch water rockets

In Mr. Greg DeCecco's class students launched water rockets that they built and used them to calculate the altitude the rockets went using simple measurements and the concepts of freefall kinematics. Check out the launch here.
