MEETING WITH THE PRINCIPAL
Come one, come all! I would love to meet you all.
I am planning to host a "Meeting with the Principal", Monday December 16 @ 6:00 PM in the WRJH Cafeteria. Since starting the school year only days before it opened I did not get a chance to offer myself to parents for questions, concerns, etc. It is my plan, for the remainder of this 2019-20 SY to offer one meeting per month so that parents can share ideas on how to help WRJH flourish. I can in-turn share my vision, impending changes for the 20-21SY, and address any other items that are called to attention. I will be discussing various topics each month to generate discussion, address concerns, and to answer questions. I will try to summarize any meeting in the follow-up newsletter.
Please note if you have individual concerns about your specific student you can schedule an appointment to speak with me privately. Any concerns brought forth during the parent meeting time should be for the betterment of the group. I look forward to seeing you at the first monthly meeting.
Meeting 1 - Monday 12/16/2019
Topic: Students taking CCP courses or HS level courses this school year. We will be discussing:
- Expectations for the 2nd semester
- Transcript Outcomes
- Levels of difficulty
- Transition to HS
If this topic is relative to your situation, or affects you for the future, you may want to come and be a part of this discussion.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
EDUCATIONAL UPDATES
I just wanted to let you all know that I am going to be using Remind as a way to communicate what's going on in my class. You will also be able to personally message me with any questions or concerns you may have. This will be my main source of communication. It's the best way to get a hold of me when you need to. Both parents/guardians and students can sign up for it. There are 2 ways of signing up (smartphone and without a smartphone) which is below. You can sign up using an email or phone number. It is whatever works best for you. Make sure you sign up for the correct class. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!

BUS AND STUDENT PICK UP INFORMATION
The snow is coming. We are asking that the student do not go through the mud but down the side ramp. This is going to require that parents pay attention to the movement of the traffic and pull up to the side-walk area to pick up their student. We have been working good together, we hope this will continue to run just as smooth as the snow arrives. Thank you for keeping our kids safe.
FROM THE PTO
Jan 14th is the next PTO day. We will be selling hot chocolate and marshmallows for $1. Students are also encouraged to wear pajamas that day to school.
The PTO parent meeting will also be 14th from 5:30-6:30
After the break, be on the lookout for online spirit wear sale and another fundraiser.
FROM THE LIBRARY
TEACHER SPOTLIGHT
Ms. Murphy Woods, Inclusion Teacher
Hey! My name is Murphy Woods and this is my first year teaching in Reynoldsburg, and I’m so thrilled to be apart of this district. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in December of 2015 with a degree in Education. After graduation, I spent some time subbing around Central Ohio until I landed my first teaching job in the fall of 2016. I spent the last three years in a Multiple Disability classroom, and knew it was time for something different at the end of last school year. I have a passion for helping kids, and watching them achieve their goals. Here at Waggoner Road Junior High, I’m the intervention specialist for the Red Jaguars and truly love my team and all our students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my fiance Austin, playing with our dogs; Bash and Baby, and trying new restaurants around Columbus.
