Service Hours Requirement
In recent weeks, majority of the students have been notified where they stand with their hours.
Per the Reicher Student Handbook:
4.4.1.0 COMMUNITY SERVICE POLICY
Before Reicher will grant a diploma to a student (and therefore grant them the right to march, walk, at graduation) the student must complete the twenty (20) hours of community service for each year the student is in attendance at Reicher. Students must complete at least 5 hours at their registered place of worship. The remaining 15 hours may be completed at their place of worship, at approved institutions listed below, or at Reicher Catholic High School.
4.4.2.0 SERVICE DEADLINES AND PENALTIES
The full 20 hours (25 for those with penalties and 30 for NHS) must be submitted by the first Wednesday in May (May 1, 2019). If hours are not submitted by this time, students will be ineligible to take theology final exams until the proper number of hours are submitted. The inability to take exams renders the semester incomplete. This means the student receives no credit for the semester and has not completed the year. In the case of delinquent hours for the second consecutive semester the student’s enrollment at Reicher Catholic High School will be in jeopardy.
Please contact Mr. Chaparro (ochaparro@reicher.org) if you have any questions.
Prom, Saturday, April 13th
The Junior and Senior Prom will be this Saturday from 8pm-11pm in the Deering Center. The junior class has been working hard on decorations for their Mardi Gras theme.
Doors will close at 8:30pm so please make dinner reservations early to ensure that you are in the doors of the Deering Center by 8:30pm. At 11pm, everyone will be released from Prom.
Make sure that you have read the formal dress guidelines. Non-Reicher students are expected to meet these guidelines as well. If you do not meet these guidelines, you may not be allowed to attend Prom.
Chris Pledger Blood Drive
Every year Reicher’s Student Council host a blood drive in memory of Chris Pledger. This year the blood drive will be in St. Joseph’s Hall from 10:00 am to 3:15. Please contact Mrs. Milchalka to sign up for a time to donate. Seniors must donate twice their senior year in order to receive a red cord at graduation. Please come out and help the Reicher Student Council save lives.

SENIOR RETREAT (Apr 11 & 12, 2019)
SENIOR RETREAT (Apr 11 & 12, 2019)
We are in need of chaperones for the Senior Retreat to be held on April 11 & 12, 2019 at Cedarbrake Retreat Center outside of Temple, Texas. Per the policies with the Retreat Center, we need to have 2 chaperones per dorm. Additionally, each chaperone must meet the requirements of Ethics and Integrity Ministry (EIM) which would require attending the training and submit to a background check.
As of today, we have 1 male chaperone and 1 female chaperone who have volunteered. Thank you for your willingness to help.
We will leave for the retreat center on April 11, 2019, at 4 pm and return on April 12 at 4 pm.
Please contact Mr. Chaparro (ochaparro@reicher.org) if you would be willing to be a chaperone or need more information.
CALLING FOR BOARD GAMES
If you have any board games not being used any more, Campus Ministry would enjoy to have them to bring along to the retreats. Please drop off any board games you want to give to the school.
Please contact Mr. Chaparro (ochaparro@reicher.org) if you would like more information.
