PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

DHS Families,

DHS and CSD are closed next week for Spring Break. I hope you all have a wonderful week! Below are some updates regarding prom and graduation:

  • Guest tickets will be sold for this year's junior/senior prom. Information has gone out to students in announcements today. They can pick up guest forms in the Main Office starting tomorrow after school only. Package A dues must be paid in full in order to get a guest ticket.
  • Each senior who is participating in graduation will receive 10 tickets for family/friends. If you need more tickets, please coordinate with parents of other students as I won't have any extra tickets to distribute.

Rochelle L. Lofstrand, Principal

Decatur High School

Glitch in Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus had some updates to take place over the weekend, which caused a glitch in the online fees. CSD is working to get this fixed.

Senior and Junior dues for package A will be accepted until April 15th. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you prefer to send a check or money order by your student, have your student see Ms. Wells after school (Senior dues) or Ms. Danielle Jones after school (Junior dues).

Prom guest ticket forms will be available in the Main Office starting tomorrow, after school only. Package A dues must be paid in full in order to get a guest ticket.

Tonight! Close Up 2023 Interest Meeting

Ever wanted to see a behind the scenes look at how decisions are made that impact our country? Then the Close Up Club is just for you! All interested students and parents are invited to attend our interest meeting. We will meet virtually via the zoom link located at the bottom of this page. We will discuss program activities, resources, fundraising, deadlines, and much more.

Using DC as a living classroom, students make personal connections with the people and institutions that embody our nation’s past and present.

With the help of our Program Instructors, students learn more about history and government while considering a variety of viewpoints. Close Up’s once-in-a-lifetime opportunities are designed to inspire and empower students to become active participants in our democracy.

Feel free to take a closer look by visiting www.closeup.org. Finally, please send an email to Ms. Gonzalez (jgonzalez@csdecatur.net), Ms. Embry (kembry@csdecatur.net), or Mr. Sprull (dsprull@csdecatur.net). if you have any further questions or are unable to attend.
