Look for communication from your room parent for specific details on how your child's class will be celebrating their teacher. Also, thank you to each of the parents that volunteered to help cover lunchroom duty so teacher's can enjoy a duty free lunch each day next week!

There is no school next Friday, April 1st, as it is snow make-up day that we did not use.

Spring Break is Monday April 4th through Friday April 8th. Enjoy your time off!

Important Date Changes

Parents,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to make a few changes to our May calendar.

The first change is field days. Our gym is being outfitted with a new HVAC system in May. Because of this we had to move up our field day dates (see below). With field days being earlier than usual, there is a quick turnaround time for ordering shirts. Order forms were sent home in Friday folders today, and can also be found below. Please make sure you don’t miss the chance to get a shirt!

The second change is the date for the end of the year class parties. The original date (Tuesday, May 24th), is also the date of the General Primary Election. As you are aware, Dyer is an official polling site. We anticipate a high volume of voters which could lead to potential parking shortages. Therefore, we have moved the end of the year class parties to Monday, May 23rd (schedule below).

Please note: while the 5th grade field day date has been changed, the 5th Grade Events Day & Walk and Promotion Ceremony dates remain as originally scheduled.

Field Days:

Friday, April 29th: K & 1

Wednesday, May 4th: 2 & 4

Friday, May 6th: 3 & 5

EOY Class Parties: Monday, May 23rd

9:00 - 9:45 K & 4th

10:00 - 10:45 1st & 3rd

10:45 - 11:30 2nd

5th Grade Events Day & Walk: Monday, May 23rd

Events: 12:45-1:45

Walk: 2:00-2:15

5th Grade Promotion Ceremony: Wednesday, May 25th

Procession begins at 9:00AM @ Hebron Church in Dacula

Important Survey-Please Read!

Parents,

The parent CCRPI climate surveys for the 2015-2016 school year are officially open. These survey results are used in the STAR rating calculations. Non participation or low participation could adversely affect our STAR Climate Rating. A growing body of research indicates that schools with positive school climate ratings have better test scores and higher graduation rates. School climate refers to the quality and character of school life. The first step to improving school climate is to measure and analyze it with a school climate survey instrument. We need your help and want to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey in order to let us know how we are doing so we can plan and adjust accordingly. Your voice is important!

The Survey Link will close April 1, 2016. Below is a link to the State Survey:
