Hello Future Griffins!

You are receiving this newsletter prior to me visiting your child's 5th grade class at their elementary school. I will be there to share details about being a 6th grade student at Foothill MS this upcoming fall, which will be followed for an informational night for you. This will be February 8, 2023 and you will find details below. There I will share information and provide dates for your planning. After the presentation I will post in our Griffin News on our school's website, , the presentation and the link for signing up for the one elective.

Course Booklet

The Course Booklet is located here online. This booklet will describe electives and required courses for Foothill. Families will need to pick one elective for their incoming 6th grade child. There are exceptions to that which will be explained in the presentation as well as within the booklet.

Griffin Road Show (principal visiting elementary schools)

  • Wednesday, January 25th Griffin Road Show. I will visit:

    • 9:15am - Bancroft Elementary

    • 10:15am - Valle Verde Elementary

    • 11:15am - Highlands Elementary

  • Thursday, January 26th Griffin Road Show

    • 8:15am - Walnut Acres Elementary

I will be traveling to talk about Foothill and answer questions. The information will be shared in the Parent/Guardian informational night as well as the presentation will be posted on the FMS Website in February.

Wednesday, February 08th @ 6:00pm: We will host an in-person presentation for incoming 6th grade families at Foothill MS in our MU. This presentation will include information, Frequently Asked Questions, and instructions on the Course Elective Selection Process.

Incoming 6th Grade Course Elective Selection Process

  • Wednesday, February 08th (through Tuesday, February 21st 11:59pm): The Incoming 6th Grade Course Elective Selection Process window will open online for families to put in their child’s elective request through a Google Form. There will be a link on our website for the form and at the end of the presentation.

  • Tuesday, February 21st 11:59pm: Incoming 6th Grade Course Elective Selection Process window closes.

Reminder! Select your student's elective choice for 2023-2024

You must select your elective choice:

  • Wednesday, February 08th (through Tuesday, February 21st 11:59pm): The Incoming 6th Grade Course Elective Selection Process window will open online for families to put in their child’s elective request through a Google Form.
