Counselor's Corner

Conversations are like playing volleyball. Some common rules would include: each person should have the chance to participate, make eye contact to be sure the other player is ready, stay on the same topic, avoid playing with aggression and have fun! Second graders practiced these skills with conversation starters this week. You can reinforce these skills at home during dinner, but be sure to pass the food instead of throwing. For more tips with communication, contact Ms. Shaw at LShaw@methacton.org or 610-489-5000 X41207.
