September 2022 Newsletter

Kingswood Regional Middle School

Principal's Corner

I hope everyone is enjoying some of this beautiful weather. In an attempt to communicate with families and the rest of our school community, I will be looking to get newsletters out to help inform families about the happenings of the Kingswood Regional Middle School. I am looking forward to meeting the students and families of the Kingswood Regional Middle School throughout the 2022 - 2023 school year. We have been very busy here at KRMS this summer from painting walls, refinishing the gymnasium floor, resurfacing the floors upstairs and downstairs, and many other updates; all in an effort to welcome everyone to a new year.

I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to serve this incredible community. KRMS is a beautiful facility and is just about ready to open the doors to students for the first day of school on September 6, 2022.

As an administrator and a parent within this district I can’t express my gratitude more towards our entire staff. Our custodial and maintenance staff have worked tirelessly and nonstop to put our classrooms and lunchrooms back in working order. The building is in pristine condition and ready to welcome the children for this coming year. Our teachers, support staff, and administrative assistants demonstrated their true passion and talents in educating our students last year, and I am grateful to once again be working alongside them. I’d be remised if I didn’t also thank your parents and families for all your support, communication, and commitment to our partnership in supporting children.

We would like to invite all 7th graders to our Jump Start Day from 7:30 am – 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 1st.

In addition, our 8th grade teams will be hosting an informal Open House for our 8th graders from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, also on Thursday, September 1st. This will be an opportunity for students and families to come into the building and see where their team areas and classrooms will be. They will also be able to meet-and-greet their teachers.

Our first day of school for ALL students will be Tuesday, September 6th. A reminder our school hours are 7:24 am – 2:24 pm. Our front doors are open at 7:00 am.

Please assist us in having all the proper information for your child by completing and submitting the InfoSnap (PowerSchool) information that was recently emailed to parents for each child enrolled in school. The InfoSnap email went out last week to all parents, and you'll need to sign on using your PowerSchool credentials. Please call the main office if you did not receive this email.

I appreciate the opportunity and adventure of working with you and your family over the next couple of years. If there is anything that I can do, at any time, please do not hesitate to reach out via phone or email (khunt@sau49.org). Middle school is a critical developmental time and as educators we know neither home nor school can go at it alone. Working together to support success is essential and a key ingredient to your child’s development.

As the summer winds down, and you start to prepare for the new year, please do not hesitate to reach out or contact me in support of a successful start. I'm looking forward to a terrific 2022-2023 school year.
