Social Emotional Learning
Elementary students will continue learning about problem-solving, while Intermediate and Middle school students will continue their exploration of conflict resolution. High school students will continue to explore ways to celebrate personal successes. As we enter testing season, teachers also are encouraged to reflect on previous lessons that addressed healthy ways of dealing with stress and anxiety. Families looking to engage their students around these topics can ask questions like:
- What is one thing you can do if you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed?
- What are you learning during SEL time this week?
- What are the problem-solving steps? (Elementary)
- How can managing strong emotions help prevent conflicts from arising?
- What is something that you are proud of?
