Imperialism was the fact that countries would try to take over other countries. They would start war for that country. Mostly for the resources the country provided.


The first cause of World War One is entangled alliances. That was when one country was attacked then each of its allies would be pulled into war with the country that attacked their friend.


As technology grew militaries wanted more weapons for the war. It became one giant arms race. Along with weapons militaries also increased their troops and improved their navies.

Archduke Ferdinand

Archduke was a man from Austria. He was assassinated in June . People believed his assassination was the main event that caused World War 1.


Nationalism means to have pride in ones country and this made that each country would want to asserted their dominance and power over other countries.
