November News
Mrs. Williams
Indian Pow Wow
We will have a fun day on November 16th. We will dress as Indians and have an Indian Pow wow with the other Kindergarten classes. We will rotate through to all classes and learn about Native Americans. Children are encouraged to dress as Indians. Directions on how to make an Indian vest will be sent home or you can get a costume if you would like.
Smart Turkeys!
Reading
We are working on letters Nn, Bb, Rr, Dd, reading sight words, and how letter sounds blend together to make words. We are learning to identify the beginning and ending sounds in words.
Math
We are working on identifying, counting objects 0-10, writing our numbers, and building our number sense.
Writing
We are working on writing words and sentences with spaces correctly. We are writing more than one sentence on a topic.
Veteran's Day Program
On November 8th, Central School will hold its annual Veteran’s Program. Central students will honor local veterans and a veteran will speak. Local Veterans and current Servicemen and women are invited to attend. It will be in the gym at 9:00am.
We would like all family members who are veterans or service members to walk in with their child as part of our program. Please let me know if you can attend.
The Kindergarten classes will sing a short song for the program. However, due to limited space, the Kindergartners will not attend the rest of the program.
Please let your child wear his/her blue Central Kindergarten shirt on Wednesday, November 8th.
Please let any attending veterans know: parking will be an issue. Do NOT park in the Safari Boutique and Salon parking lot.
