Father Daughter Dance : An Evening Under The Stars

In addition to dancing, there will be a photo booth, cookie decorating, popcorn, fruit and bottled water at no charge. Necklaces will be sold for $5 and an ice cream vendor will be there selling yummy treats for $3.

School Store Needs Volunteers:

The school store is looking for volunteers to help sell items to the kids on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:25am for the 2013-2014 school year. You would only be signing up for a couple mornings per month - not all of them! They are specifically short on volunteers from Tracks 2 & 4 - but also need volunteers from tracks 1. This is a great way to volunteer if you're a working parent, and available in the mornings. If you can help out or would like more clarification of the exact hours she needs, please email Stephanie Petty at

Tuesdays: K-2 kids welcome from 8:00-8:25am
Thursdays: 3-5 kids welcome from 8:00-8:25am
The school store sells little pencils, erasers, fun little school items for kids to purchase - prices range from $0.10 - $2.00, so kids can easily afford to buy something even with a little bit of pocket change. It is located at the end of the main hallway, adjacent to the 2nd grade hallway.

Cultural Arts:

NC Symphony Field Trip

Track 1 and 2 Fourth Graders will take a field trip to the North Carolina Symphony on Thursday, January 16th. Track 3 and 4 Fourth Graders will visit the Symphony on March 11th. Students will hear music played by the NC Symphony ranging from Brahms to Bernstein. Thanks to your support of our PTA, the Cultural Arts Committee was able to sponsor the bus transportation to the NC Symphony for all fourth grade students.
