What are designer babies?
Designer babies are children where the parents choose what traits they want their child to have. The parents choose what traits they want their child to have so their child won't have incurable diseases.
Why are there designer babies?
When the parents have a designer baby, they are choosing the traits they want. If a couple wants children, they can see if their child will have incurable diseases.When they do that, they can choose traits to help prevent those incurable diseases.

Adam Nash
His parents, Lisa and John Nash, decided to have another child to possibly save their daughter, Molly, from a genetic disease. Nash had blood from his umbilical cord put into Molly's bone marrow. Nash doesn't have the same disease as Molly, and Molly is creating her own bone marrow.
Gauvin Duchesneau-McCullough
A deaf couple, Sharon Duchesneau and Candy McCullough, had a donor with deafness running in their family, so that Gauvin could also be deaf. Gauvin is partly deaf in one ear.
Scarlett
Her parents, Annabelle and Sean, had the IVF procedure to help prevent Scarlett from having the Huntington's disease. Scarlett does not have the Huntington's disease.
