A peek at our week....
Each week in the newsletter I will try to give you a glimpse at what we're working on at school. Hopefully, you can extend conversations at home by asking them about their day and when they say "nothing!" you will be able to say, "well....tell me about ____."
Our anchor book this week will be Mouse Paint. We will learn our colors this week. We will be painting this week and doing a lot of fun activities about and with colors. We will sort by color and match our colors. We will also talk about some of the things we will need to know for school, like how do we do snack time and what if I need to use the restroom.
Table Time Activities:
Monday - Paint with watercolors
Tuesday - Play-doh
Thursday - Color bingo
Friday - Color bingo
School Family Jobs:
Each Monday the students will have an opportunity to chose a job that contributes to the success of our classroom. Classroom School Family Jobs help children experience responsibility, self-worth, inclusion, accomplishment, unity and school spirit. For the next few weeks, I will be modeling each classroom job to help the children gain an understanding of the expectations and responsibilities for each job.
