Module Reminders

We will completing Module #4 (Intentional Research in a Conference) next Tuesday and Friday in PLTs. Please have completed your commitment form with either choice one of recording your research phase and reflecting, choice two that included using student work to prepare your research phase, or choice three of using your unit projection to plan and prepare intentional research questions.

We will also be completing Module #5 (Number Talks Part 2) during early release next Thursday. For the completion of this module you will need to have recorded yourself teaching students during your Number Talks time. Please bring these recordings and headphones to our next early release.

Winter Break Reading

Similar to what we did last year, there will be a reading incentive to keep students reading over break. More information will be coming about this in the near future. Our hope is that by keeping students engaged in reading over the long break we can stop the regression sometimes evident.

Congratulations Kindergarten! A goal was set for 80% of students to achieve proficiency on their recent geometry assessment. They achieved 85%! Way to go!!

Upcoming Walk-throughs

Our walk-through focus over the next couple weeks will be on Guided Reading. Please see the attached look for sheet.

Reading on the Road! December 12th

We made a few changes from last year. Here's what you need to know.....

-We will leave earlier so we have more time in the light! The bus will leave around 4:40.

-We will have 3 stops (5:00-Gladstone Baptist Church/5:30-Kendallwoood Apartment/6:00-Walmart Marketplace)

-The bus will have seat belts/harnesses so you may bring younger children to join in on the fun

-Families are welcome to attend/help!

-There will be a sign up sheet in the lounge, so we know how many people are attending.

-Please bring your own Santa hats, bells, etc. (We do have some left from last year....if I can find them!)

After Reading on the Road...

Join our Meadowbrook staff after Reading on Road. There is a sign-up for food in the lounge. We will chat and chew in the building after our last stop.

Laraine would like to give Carol a yellow ticket for all her hard work in getting the new books ready and helping her bring in treats Monday morning! Thank you.
