All About Me!
Stephanie Allen
This is who I am!
Hello, Everyone!
My name is Stephanie Allen and I am a NC Pre-K teacher in Greensboro, NC. I have been a teacher for ten years. I am from a fairly small town in North Carolina called Elizabethtown which is not too far from the beach. My family and I spent many of our summer vacations at the beach which made me happy! I moved to Greensboro, NC when I chose to attend college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Education, I chose to reside here with my daughter who was just an infant at the time.
I chose to obtain my Master's Degree a few months ago after having a heart to heart moment related to my goals in life. After obtaining my Bachelor's Degree, I knew that I wouldn't just stop there. I have a passion for working with young children and their families. My decision to obtain my Master's degree was planned to happen after I purchased a home. I purchased a new home in August of 2015 and after this occurred I had no excuses for not returning to school for my Master's. This degree will present opportunities for my success in working with young children and their families helping them meet their full potential. I have worked with children for many years. This includes leading summer camps, teaching children's church, and much babysitting. My goal in life is to help mold young respectful individuals who are successful in life and willing to help others along the way!
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Robbins who was my teacher in the 11th and 12th grade. I loved how she allowed students to use their creativity and academic skills to express themselves. She was amazing and allowed much feedback from students. We also had the opportunity to take on her role and teach the class a thing or two! I honestly don't believe that I had a least favorite teacher. I was always on top of things in school and never had any issues with my teachers.
If I could eat only one food for the rest of my life at dinner time it would definitely be lasagna! I absolutely love pasta and lasagna is one of my favorite foods!
