Staff Holiday Gift Fund

Please donate to the staff and holiday gift fund. A beautiful card with your child's name will be included with every gift card!

Go to and click on the GREEN teacher and staff holiday gift fund button on the home page. The minimum donation is $25.00.

The collection ends next week.

You can also make a check payable to The Shepard PTSO and drop it off at school or mail it to the school at 440 Grove Ave.

Shepard PTSO Gift Drive

In the spirit of giving please donate all of your unopened toys and unused presents to the residents of Lake County that are in need. The goal is to make sure every child in Lake County has one gift to open this holiday season!

The PTSO has teamed up with Our Shining Stars Foundation (OSSF) to help them achieve their goal.

In addition to all of the children that require gifts, there are also 120 teenage girls and 110 teenage boys that would love to open a gift this holiday season.

Giftcards for Nike, XBox, Five Below, Walmart and Amazon are always appreciated.

Gift sets from Ulta, Bath & Body Works, BB&B, Nail Polish Kits, Make Up Sets, Perfume, Cologne, Bath Sets (Body Wash, Washcloths, razors, shaving cream, etc) are great gifts.

Hats, Gloves, Socks, Electronics, Bikes, and really anything you can think of are all amazing gifts that OSSF is seeking!

You can wrap these gifts or make adorable gift bags for the teenagers. If you wrap gifts, please label the gift bag or present! However, gift wrapping is optional!

Drop off locations are at 1127 Knollwood, 10 Colony Drive or in the Shepard lobby.

We are also happy to pick up any donations!

Gifts are due 12/18.

If you have any questions please email

Thank you for your generosity!

Book Fair Information

The Shepard Virtual Book Fair begins TODAY, December 7, and runs through December 14!

The book fair is a great way to support a local bookstore, The Book Stall, and tackle your holiday shopping list or even purchase something for yourself! Twenty percent of all sales will benefit Shepard's Learning Commons, which just means more wonderful books on our shelves for students to enjoy!

To participate, visit the Book Stall's Shepard Book Fair website to learn more. Be sure to write "Shepard Middle School Book Fair" in the comments section of your order for your order to count toward our fair.

A special note: Buy any book by Deerfield author and mom to Shepard alums, Ruth Spiro, and let The Book Stall know how you need them signed in the “order comments” section of your order, and we’ll work with Ruth to get you personalized and signed bookplates! This makes an extra special gift for someone!

Spread the word to friends, neighbors, and family members. You don't have to live in the Deerfield 109 community to participate!

Thank you so much for your support and please reach out to Andrea Trudeau if you have any questions.
