Finishing Strong

We are in the home stretch now! These last few weeks are so crazy busy, but I continue to be encouraged by the great things that continue to happen for our students because of all of the work you do each and every day! I know we ask a lot of all of you, and at times it can seem overwhelming, but when we see the results, the students who benefit from what you do, I am so thankful for a staff that never gives up. Thank you for doing great things at CN Jr/Sr High School! We are better because of you!

The Foster Family

Please continue to lift up the Foster family. The family has set up the following account and Chris will keep us updated with any new information. Let's do jeans, with a donation to the family, for the rest of the year. They can use this money for gas, parking, food or whatever they may need. They are true givers and it would be wonderful if we could help them in this time of need.

Licensing Info

Please see important info below regarding licensing renewal. In talking with others and from the info I have read I believe if you begin the PGP process in LVIS prior to the start date, you will still qualify without these additional requirements even if you don't complete renewal until your licensing date.

Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. Students work on a project over an extended period of time – from a week up to a semester – that engages them in solving a real-world problem or answering a complex question. They demonstrate their knowledge and skills by developing a public product or presentation for a real audience. As a result, students develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills in the context of doing an authentic, meaningful project. Project Based Learning unleashes a contagious, creative energy among students and teachers.

PBL 101 is a foundational course in Project Based Learning and we hope all of you will take advantage of this training opportunity. Please see Michelle Sirois, Jessica Owen, or Ashley Vice for more info (they have all been through this initial training).
