Dryden Junior/Senior High School Club Spotlight
Color Me Green
Color Me Green in the school's recycling club. This club is run by Mrs. Maday. It has about five members who meet about once a month. When they meet, they go to each classroom after school to get the recycling bins and sort the paper, plastics, and returnables. Then they take the paper out to the paper recycling. Their wish is to spread awareness about recycling and that more people will contribute to helping our community become a better place. If you want to join the team, please contact Mrs. Maday.
Homework Club
Don't know what it is? Homework Club has started this year and is a great way to get your homework done, work independently, or meet and work on group activities. The meetings are every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00 p.m. in room 133. It is important to know that this is an informal club. Therefore, students aren't required to stay the entire time. Hope to see you there!

On Tuesday, January 18th, the Cardinals traveled to Kingston. We ended up winning the game. It was a very good game all around. The boys won 50-45. Let’s look at the points the boys put up in the game.
Dylan Ledford led the Cardinals with 15 points. Jacob Burgess had 13 points. Merrick Maris had 11 points, Zack Lemke had 7 points, then Tommy Giles and Ethan Knuth contributed with 2 points each. Coach DelCampo was very happy with the Cardinal’s performance. He said, “It was a great win for us. We won a big league game on the road against Kingston, which is always a good, well-coached team. The team really played well, especially defensively. We had a lot of players contribute but Tommy Giles and Ethan Knuth turned the game around for us. They came in when we were down 14 in the third quarter and pulled us within 6." Great win for the boys! That put them 2nd in the NCTL!
On Friday, January 21st, the Cardinals were at home, playing against North Huron. It was a very close game, but the Cardinals came out on top. The final score was 52-47, let’s look at the points for the Cardinals.
Jacob Burgess led the Cardinals with 18 points. Dylan Ledford had 13 points. Jason Blasius had 10 points, Merrick Maris had 10 points, and Sonny Coscione had 1 point.
Coach DelCampo was very happy with the back-to-back NCTL wins. He said, “It was an exciting game. Our players really battled defensively. Once again we had a balanced scoring attack. We had four players in double figures." The boy’s next game is Tuesday, January 25th, at Deckerville. They will be battling for the number one spot in the NCTL. Good luck boys, and go Cardinals!
