A Weekly Newsletter From Grant School & the Grant PTA
Week of August 17, 2020
Dear Grant Community,
The partnership between student families and the school staff has always been a critical component to student success, but now so more than ever. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your student's teacher or to me to resolve tech issues, ask questions, share concerns, or to celebrate successes. We are in this together and will get through this together.
For the next couple of weeks, I will share some snapshots from life on campus during distance learning. This week features just a handful of our staff members working to make magic happen on zoom, ensuring the health and safety of our staff on campus and managing operations in the office!

What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you're mindful,
you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or
bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment
and awakening to experience. ~ Psychology Today
Mindful Movement in the classroom consists of several movement activities, like yoga
poses, stretches and body/mind coordination exercises that focuses on building
strength, balance, and flexibility.
