Naval Academy


There is no tuition or financial aid. The navy pays 100% of the tuition, room and board, medical and dental care cost for the students. In return the student serves 5 year of active duty service after graduation.

Requirements of classes

4 years of English, 2 year language, 2 year History, 4 years of Math, 2 years of science and science lab.

First, you need your social security number

Then you need to be a United States citizen,

  • have Good moral character, At least 17 and not past their 23rd birthday on 1 July of the year they would enter the academy,Unmarried, Not pregnant; and No dependents.
  • After that, you need a recommendation from thhe U.S Senators, Representative, Delegates, the president, vice president, navy or marine corps.

    The student need a 3.75 Gpa if they want to be in the 75% people accepted

    In Critical Reading you need a SAT score of 560 to 670

    In Math you need a SAT score of 610 to 710

    49% of the freshman that got in to the program has a English act score of 30 to 36

    47% of the freshman that got in to the program has a Math act score of 24 to 29

    Pays at school

    Midshipmen pay is $929.40 monthly, from which laundry, barber, cobbler, activities fees, yearbook and other service charges are deducted. Actual cash pay is $100 per month your first year, which increases each year thereafter
